moving to paihia

First of all  we packed the car with a little bit of stuff  and then we went to Macdonalds to get some dinner. We got hamburgers. After that we had a sleep  for half an hour while we were driving, my sister and I had a sleep. When I woke  up we  were there in Paihia and it took 2 minutes to get to the motel. Our number was 217. I had a great trip. I felt happy  but I was cold. On Monday it was my first day at Paihia school my teacher is called  Whaea Becks and the principal is called Mrs Lindsay, they are both pretty. When i walked  into my class my mum came with me and so did my sister and brother. We had an assembly and the whole school came. We did our karakia and a waiata. After that the assembly finished so my mum stayed there and talked to teachers. My sister came with my class and  she sat on the mat, she was funny. We waited for my mum to come, she took a long time. I could not come to school last week because i had tonsillitis. It was  really sore when I swallowed but it's not sore now. My tonsils  were really fat and big. Next, when my mum left  we did our learning plan. I had a piece of paper but I did not have a chromebook yet. Then Mrs Lindsay came to help me log into my chromebook . But I had no work to do in my chromebook yet. .After that the principal  went to her office  and the teacher showed me our blog Te Maunga . I made some new friends and I meet some new teachers. Later on it was morning tea i had a orange and a cookie. I had a great  day at Paihia school  my teacher was nice and the principal was nice. At the end the bell rang and it was home time my mum took a long time to come and pick me up i thought i had to walk home i was nervous. I felt happy and excited.

• Once there was a little girl called Lily. She lived in a small motel with her mum and dad. The mother was cleaning the house. The  mother was so happy. Lily said mum I think you have done the most work in the house. She said thank you. The mother said go get a vase to put the flowers in. Just then the mother sees her coming . Just before lily came over she dropped the flower vase with a BANG!!. The mother was angry like a gorilla.  The mother cleaned up the glass. She was angry. The girl was sad and she did not come out. When it was dinner time the mother said dinner! Time! She said. Lily came out quietly  she grabbed  her dinner and set of to her room. The mother said Lily can you please come here. She   stamped her feet. Lily i’m really sorry I yelled at you and got angry at you. I don’t forgive you. Mummy Lily spoke it was just a vase why do you have to be angry? The mother did not answer. Come on mum it is not a trick question??? Because it was my favorite vase! I forgive you.  Then the dad came in the house.The dads name was Tim. Lily was only 18 years old. The vase was blue like the beautiful sky. Then Lily had powers  she changed her mums dress into a flower dress. When lily got some money she got a new vase it was perfect for her mum. Everyone had a big fancy feast. The money was from her mum and dad. Everyone had a great time together. Lily and her parents stayed up until 12:00 midnight they were really tired. The mother had to get up at 2:00 in the morning she only got 2 hours sleep so she called her work and said Hi it’s Lily's mother  here I can’t come to work today because it is my day off.

Persuasive writing

In Te Maunga we have been learning to write persuasive writing. We had to chose if Chromebooks help our learning or self directed learning helps our learning. I did well on reasons and the paragraphs. What I did not do well is I did not put examples because I did not know what they meant. I will tell you what a persuasive writing is : A persuasive writing is a story with argument .

I think we should have Chromebook because if we are stuck on something we can find videos and we can watch  it more than 1 time until we know it.

Chromebooks  are good because we can share our learning to the teacher or buddies. People can do work when they are sick and they can Email their teacher and ask what to do.

We can link work and the teacher can see your work already and you don’t have to use pen or paper.   This is good because you can finish our work  quicker with a Chromebooks instead  of using pen and paper so our hands won't be sore.

If the teacher tells us to pack up and if the teacher says your work should be done. If the your is not done you do it in your own time or at home. People can share their work with other people or the principal.

This is why Chromebooks are the best because when you write with pen and paper your hands will get sore.

My opinion again… Chromebooks help my learning.
